A 10ft container is roughly 3 metres long, 2.44 metres wide and 2.59 metres high on the outside. Because of the wall thickness the internal dimension is slightly smaller, which works out to around 15 cubic metres of load volume. It is the smallest standard size of shipping container HEROX supplies, suitable for compact storage in a small yard or garden.
The difference is in the height: a standard 40ft container is 2.59 metres high on the inside, a 40ft high cube 2.90 metres, or 30 centimetres more. Length and width stay the same, but the extra volume of around 9 cubic metres comes in handy when double-stacking pallets or when converting the unit with insulation and a ceiling, where standing height would otherwise be lost.

A 20ft container is roughly 6.06 metres long, 2.44 metres wide and 2.59 metres high (High Cube: 2.90 metres). Because of the wall thickness, slightly less remains inside: around 5.90 metres long, 2.35 metres wide and 2.39 metres high. That gives around 33 cubic metres of loading volume, more than enough for tools, stock or a complete renovation.
